In 1999, the design department of Really UK Co was experimenting in new forms of geometry for security applications and over a period of five years developed a hand-formed process for translating geometry into line and solid forms.
Araldo Brock, the designer had previously worked on banknote design and developed these security forms into this unique art form. Although the original purpose was to ensure against counterfeit reproduction, continued development culminated in the discovery of a series of mechanisms which could generate a distinct and identifiable family of geometric designs.
Developments in digital toner technology have enabled these designs to be economically applied to various substrates and to many different three dimensional forms.
The result is Geosymm.
Geosymm is a unique family of designs. Each design is hand drawn and assigned to a single client.
The client may be an individual or a company.
A Geosymm design is supplied in the form of a vector file. Each vector design geommetry is capable of representation in an almost unlimited range of colors and line widths. You can also optionally buy the displayed design colorway as a permanent record of your design applied to a bone china plate or "charger". These chargers are likely to become collectable in their own right.
Application of the design is unlimited. Clients can select and use their own unique design for purposes such as interior design, branding, image and so forth. No other individual or organisation has the right to use the same design.
If you choose the optional permanent record, it is secured by applying and firing to a bone china charger for permanence and as a record for you. These are manufactured by Caverswall China, based in Stoke-on-Trent, England, the heart of the potteries. Caverswall hold a royal warrant for the superb quality of their manufacture and finish.
The design file is delivered to the client together with lock and key certificates printed on special paper. If ordered, the charger is delivered separately.
Geosymm is a wholly owned division of The Really Useful Knowledge Company Ltd and is based in Clun, Shropshire, England.
